Self-portrait on “Salim Salam” road

  2. Great Drawing
In many subtle ways (no time to comment properly, but check out for instance the somber mouth of the tunnels that seem to swallow and spit the little, rusty cars inside which inert, miserable manoids fixated on their steering-wheels stare at their existential nothingness, their eyes wide open, expressionless…), this powerful tableau shows that the Lebanonistan art(y) scene has finally awaken: after many years of boredom induced by the sterile cum pretentious compositions of mediocre painters (lionized by the usual imbecile of L’Orient-le-Jour and Al-Nahar), it has finally found in Raed Charaf a fresh new talent and the promises of (a) great oeuvre(s) to come!
    ;))

    🙂
